Mixing and Matching Baby Items
In these sets I used Minky Dot and the nursery print knit. The hats and booties are reversible, so the sets can be mixed and matched as one wishes.
In this set of booties, I stitched little scraps of the knit fabric to the minky
to make the booties match the hats.
The Crinkle Tactile Toy has terry cloth on the back.
The complete toe of the bootie is covered here with minky dot.
The previous booties look like these when they are "reversed".
The elephant crinkle tactile toys have blue corduroy on the back.
Both the body and the ear of the elephants crinkle.
The corduroy, minky, floppy ear, corduroy tail, and ribbons provide stimulation for a baby.
The Crinkle Tactile Toys have blue corduroy and minky dot on the back (as shown).
The back of this corduroy crinkle elephant toy is minky dot.
Floppy ears that crinkle and a body that crinkles, plus the tactile experience of the corduroy and minky and floppy ears and ribbons provide the baby with stimulating activities.
This set shows the matching hat, booties, and elephant toy that matches
the little blue elephant in the print of the knit.
When I finished with these sets, none of my discarded knit fabric was bigger than 1/2 inch or so. Using some of the last scraps for the elephant ears helped to carry the theme of the set to the toy.
